Our Story
Villa Otokar carries a story that began in 1915, when our great-grandfather Anton built a home meant to last for generations. From those early days—surrounded by orchards, farm life, and the peaceful hill locals call Otok—our family grew, loved, worked the land, and passed down traditions that still shape this place today.
Over a century later, Villa Otokar still stands proudly on the same hillside, lovingly renovated in 2019 to blend modern comfort with preserved heritage. You’ll still find the original 1915 stone lintel, the century-old grapevines, and the spring-water well that sustained our family for decades.
Nature remains our quietest treasure. Deer often cross the meadows just meters from the house, birds nest in the surrounding trees, and the hill behind the villa is alive with wildlife—just as it was for our grandparents.
Today, we open our doors to travelers who want to slow down, breathe deeply, and feel at home in a place shaped by history, nature, and family.
